Seussical: The Musical
By Original Broadway Cast
see related

I know I know....I am not living up to my promise.  I'm sorry...LOL  If I can offer you all any advice it is this....NEVER take three production courses in one semester...HAHA.  It seems like every week I have atleast two or three projects that I am working on.  Yea, it can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but at other times it can be loads of fun.

So anyway...to update you all on the life of Greg...

The past two weekends I went home to operate the body mics for Seussical.  The shows went really really well.  I am so proud of my sister, she did such a great job.  Watching her every night really makes me miss acting.  Hopefully if CAST is still around when I graduate from Temple I can have the chance to perform one last time.  Thankfully I didnt screw up the mic cues as bad as I did last year during Cinderella...LOL.  Plus the weekends were great becuase I got to see a lot of people that I really really miss.  Gotta love accidently spilling a milkshake on my dad and Chase, and having Dave and Shreky leave the cast party and come up and play PS2 in my room till 2:00 AM...LOL.  Then during the second weekend I got to see my girls and the hedgehog (sorry Kevin I had too...LOL) and go out for ice cream.

Of course the other big news in my life is that I am now a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  Can you imagine...Greg in a frat...LOL  Of course...if you imagining a frat where we all live in a house and get shit faced every weekend...your wrong...LOL.  This is just a great group of guys who believe in the true meaning of brotherhood and music.  I seriously do not understand why I didnt join a few semesters ago.  I owe so much thanks to Noah (my F.E.O.) for guiding myself and the rest of the other new brothers down this amazing road.  I also have to thank Doug (Noah's assistant) and Joe (my big brother) for all your support over the past couple of months.  I really do appericate it.  Plus I have to thank all the other brothers for accepting us when we were only just PM's.  It was such a great feeling.

Scary enough I actually didnt have any work for tomorrow so I decided to head downtown to the Academy of Music and see if I could try and win some tickets at the Wicked lotto.  We needless to say I was very unsuccessful...LOL.  There had to be about 80 some people, and they only had 20 tickets.  So after I lost I headed to the box office to see if they had anymore tickets, and just my luck they are sold out for the rest of the run.  Thankfully I was able to see the show in NYC.

Well that is really about it.  I am not gonna make any promises this time about when my next post will be...LOL.  But I will try and get something up whenever I can.  But please leave those awesome comments.  Take care everyone

I find it very interesting that I update almost every month on the same day.  Once again I am sorry for not updating more often.  I dont have as much free time as I did last year.

Anyway for all of you worry worts out there...here is what's beening going on in Greg's life in the last month of so...LOL

First off...it's great to be back at Temple!!!!  Classes so far have been really good.  Editing for the media is great since a lot of the people who were in my TV production class are in my section, so its great to lookback on all the memories of the past semester.  Plus...editing is so frickin cool.  By the end of the semester we will be editing together our own movie trailers.  It cant get any better then that.  So far Intro to broadcast technique is going well.  My proff for the class is Amy Caples, who actually still works for KYW Radio and for the past six years was one of the anchors on KYW3 in the morning here in filling.  So while it is really great to hear all the advice, sometimes its tough with her grading beucase she is so professional.  The other day I had to record a commerical, and when I did it I was as sick as a dog, and I thought I did a decent job with it, with lots of every...and she gives me an 84...LOL.  Hopefully in the end things will work themselves out.  Intro to digital audio is alright.  We havnt done too much production work yet, but I'm glad I am taking this course becuase now it reaffirms my decision that I would like to work in television production and editing.  And Japanese has been going well.  Not to much to talk about there.

Secondly...I cannot wait for March Maddness baby!!!!  Nothing is better then Temple basketball.  But I swear by the end of this year the men's team is going to give me a frickin heart attack.  They are doing much better then last year with a record of 14-9 (7-5 in the A10) esp. being 10-1 at home, but we cant win on the road.  We beat great times like Alabama, Maryland, and St. Joes (THE HAWK IS DEAD!!!!), but yet we lose away games to shitty ass teams like UMass and Rutgers.  I just dont get it.  Next Saturday we play those Dukie Dukes and JJ Reddick at the Wachovia Center.  The game is sold out, thousands of people are going to be there, and even more watching on ESPN, and I get to take in the whole thing playing with the band.  What a thrill.  Hopefully we finish strong, storm through the A 10 tourney and make it to the big dance.

Thirdly...My job as an Owl Ambassador has been going really well.  I love giving tours and meeting all sorts of people.  Even though I have been working there for about a month now I've been giving entire tours and guidance from some of the older owls, but Saturday marks the frist time I will be taking groups out by myself.  That should be really interesting.  Plus the other people that I work with have been great, just be friendly and helping me out where ever I need it.

Finally...and probably the biggest news is...right now I am pledging to a fraternity here on campus.  I went to the information meeting for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (the male music fraternity) and was really really impressed by the whole organization.  This is definitly something that I should have done a last year.  Plus I'm really excited that my good friend Joe is my big brother.  Right now I am a probationary brother, but I have to do all these readings and take a test before I can become brother and gain full membership.  I shall have to keep you all posted when the big day comes.

Well that is really everything on my end.  Enjoy it becuase it might be the last time ya see a new post in about a month...LOL.  I'll try and update more often but I can make any promises.  Cant wait for spring break since I am going back down to Lancaster for the FCCLA State Leadership Conference.  I'll get to see all my old friends and the advisors that I miss sooo much.  Please leave me those awesome comments and I will talk to all you hip cats later.

NOTHSTEIN OUT!!!

Howdy Folks!!

Well here I am...the final strech of winter break before my 4th semester at Temple.  Can you believe I am already that far along in my college career.  Its insanly creepy.  It felt so weird about a week ago when Laura and I were talking about our futures and careers.  I am growing up way to fast...LOL  Well anyway I do apologize for not updating for a while, but since it's coming so close to the end I'd figure why not.

Hmm..where to begin...Well the day before New Year's Eve Laura and I stayed at Chase's house and exchanged Christmas gifts.  Yea I know its late...wanna fight about it..LOL. Anyway I was so excited becuase Chase got me a new computer chair for birthday/christmas and Laura got me the Price is Right DVD game.  HOW FRICKIN AMAZING IS THAT!!!!!!  So of course I made everyone play it right away.  It is the coolest game EVER.  And guess who won the first time...LOL  Well the next morning I had to work, but while I am working Chase calls me to ask me how I like my steak cooked??? I'm like the the hell?  So I head back to his house to find out that Momma and Ratko made Laura, Chase, and I steak and lobster tails!!!! I couldnt believe it.  I love the Dedics so much. I dont know what I would do without them.  The only downer about the whole day was I started to catch a cold.  So Ratko tells me he is going to sweat it out of my by giving me this drink of hot lemon tea, lemon juice, honey and punch rum.  Well I tried to drink this as quickly as possible, and sadly it didnt work as I expected.  Of course later to find out he didnt make it strong enough since it had to be half tea half rum...LOL.  So once I left Chase's I went to go lay down for a little before going to Kait's for the night for New Year's.  Sorry Kait for getting there late, I was trying to feel better so I could be a party animal...LOL

So the whole night, Laura, Kait, Kait's family and I were enjoying each other's company, eating jello shots, and partying it up.  I was so glad to see my good friend Curzan Raspberry and Mango...LOL.  Then I was introduced to 99 Apples.  Let me tell you..that stuff is liquid fire...LOL  I took one shot, and I felt the path it took all the way through my body...LOL  Then we all just goffed around until the big ball dropped and then headed out to the front yard to shoot off fireworks and have a snow ball fight.  Not a good idea to do that when your sick...LOL  Of course nothing was better then Pie Man (Kait's Dad) trying to shoot a firework off in his mouth...that was classic...LOL.  Later on in the night I got a text from Jessica out in Erie, so I gave her a call to wish her a happy new year.  Boy I sure do miss her.  Finally since we were all pooped we headed to bed since I had to get up early to take Laura to church and I could work at Giant at 10..yippie me again for getting an early shift on New Year's .

The last big event of the break was this past Thursday night.  I picked up Kait and Laura and we headed over to Ceder Crest College to pick up Lori and go out to dinner.  Well we all wanted to see Lori's dorm so we made the treck over, and I found we would have to fill out the frickin FASFA form to get into her dorm...LOL  Not really, but I had to give my name, address, telephone number, driver's license number, and what kind of car I drove.  I was like what's next, DNA blood sample, full cavity search..LOL. Then after writing on every single dry earse board Lori had in her room we headed off to dinner at Carabas.  It was so much fun, esp. when the waitress accidently spilled some of the cream lobster sauce on Kait's pants.  I almost lost it..LOL.  And as usual it was pick on Greg night, but seriously, what day is it.  And sad to say, I really do miss it..LOL

Well that is really about it.  Tomorrow (today) actually, is my last day at Giant for atleast a week (god damn having to come back home to work so early), then I am gonna pack, and spend my last night in Catty hanging out with Chase.  Monday morning my parents are going to take my back to good ole Temple, and then I am off to Owl Ambassador training.  Should be lots of fun.  Well I should be going to bed since I have to be up in 7 hours..LOL  Everyone take care and I will talk you all soon.  And as always remember to leave those awesome comments.

Jaa Ne!!! (That's so long in Japanese...LOL)

I know it is a little late, but I am going to say it anyway...

HO HO HO Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas was pretty good this year.  The week before hand I basically just spent my days working at your friendly neighborhood Giant.  I know what fun.  Then last Friday I went up to the new high school and walked around for the first time since and only thing portion I have seen of it was the band room and the auditorium...LOL.  Let me tell you that place is amazing.  I am so frickin jealous!!!  All those people who oppossed the school should be ashamed of themselves.  It was really nice to see a lot of my old teachers, and then I watched the band and chorus concert.  Then I Chase, Laura, and I went out to lunch and just chilled for a little.  Of course one thing that has me concerned is that Chase and Laura kept laughing at me about the rechargable batteries I bought for my Mom's digital camera...and they still wont tell me what is so funny...LOL.

Saturday was the day from hell.  I had to work in the morning while everyone in the Lehigh Valley and their monkey's uncle were out shopping...LOL  Then I had to race home to go to church since I was playing my sax for part of the service.  Finally my Nana and Aunt Paula came to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas morning was great. I got all the DVD's I wanted..esp Family Guy and House.  Plus I got Blitz: The League, some CD's, and clothes.  Nick and his family came over then and we exchanged gifts, which is always interesting...LOL.  Next it was down to my Grandparents for Christmas and dinner.  That was fun, esp hearing my sis read Denise's book on how to marry the perfect man...LOL.  Finally I completed my Christmas tradition of ending the day by making a visit down to Lori's for her family's Christmas party, which every year is a blast.

As for this week and only things I have really done is working at that hell hole I call Giant, seeing The Producers with my family, and Chase and Momma, going to all the many Marhefka open houses, and playing poker with Nick and Chase.  And of course the big news is...after countless debate with myself I finally decided to...buy an iPod...LOL.  Since I have such a large music collection, and I hate carrying back and forth with me all over the place, and knowing i can put video projects I make on it, I figured it was a worth while buy since I got lots of money for Chirstmas.  Hopefully it will be here soon so I can spends a whole day inputting my music into my computer...LOL.

Well thats really about it on my end.  This most likely is my last post in '05...so cherish it..LOL.  It should be interesting to see if I am going to have to work on New Years Day, so hopefully I can start '06 on a good note.  Everyone have a great and SAFE New Years Holiday.  Remember to leave those awesome comments, or New Year's Resolutions for me...since I cant come up with anything...LOL  Take care

HAPPY NEW YEAR

NEWS FLASH!!!!!   GREG IS UPDATING!!!!!

Thats right ladies and gents, Greg is so bored (god I love taling in the third person) and sick of studying that he is deciding to update his xanga...LOL

Well since I last updated many wonderful things have transpired.  Probably the greatest of them all was Thanksgiving Break.  After the Bond Fire, Chase, Laura, Rachel, Bethany, Nick, Nate, Jessie, and Andrea went to go see the movie version of Rent.  THE MOVIE WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!  There are no words that can describe the feelings I had during those two hours of glory.  Never have I been short of breathe and shown emtion at a movie.  Screw what the critics say, this movie needs to be seen by everyone.  The movie was so good I saw it three days later again with Chase and Nick.  My man  Anthony Rapp was incredible.  And Jessie L Martin...my god...forget Law and Order, he needs to get back to Broadwat ASAP!!!!  What made this moment even more special was after the movie was over...1.  It was snowing outside and 2. We all (along with Heather, Amber, and Ashley) all gathered around Nick's car arm in arm and belted I'll Cover You Repriese in the parking lot.  What a night...one I will never forget.

As for other awesome moments back here on campus, after many painstaking hours of work in the studio and in post production we finally recorded our 20 minute version of Saturday Night Live.  Just this whole experience of being in this television production class, I seriously think I have found my calling in life.  I plan on burning all the work I have done onto DVD so I can show everyone over Christmas break.  Japanese is going well and I am learning more and more each class.  Of course I got to put my skills to the test when over break I tried to call my host family and Mizuho's husband, who doesnt know any English, picked up the phone.  That sure was fun...LOL.

Of course now that is December already, college basketball season is upon us!!!  The men did pretty well in the Pre-Season NIT.  We didnt win but atleast we kicked the shit out of Army.  Then Pat, John, Bill, Lindsay and I went down to the Palestra for the Philly Big 5 Classic.  Nothing like beating those smart ass losers from Penn in the last minute...what a game.  Of course nothing could top Saturday.  WE UPSET BAMA.  Temple finally beat their first ranked team in close to three years.  It was so great.  Bring it on Duke, Maryland, and GDub!!!!

Finally the last big piece of news is I finally know now where I am living next year.  I am so happy that the Dynasty will be back together.  After realizing that I wont be able to be an RA were all moving into this new apartment complex called...the EDGE...LOL.  This thing is going to be so sweet.  Nice size room, own little kitchen area, and a flat screen tv in every single bedroom.  Not to mention below us there is going to be a shopping center with a WAWA, and a 7 screen movie theater.  August cant come soon enough!!!

Well that is really about it from me.  Hopefully if I have the time over Christmas break I will update some more.  I will be done with finals on Friday so I will be home then, and staying there for good until the 15th of January!!!  Boy do I miss my own bed...LOL.  Everyone take care and have a great holiday, and always remember to leave those awesome comments.
